Business support

We support a range of services to help businesses in London make the most of upcoming opportunities, train their people, and grow their markets.

There is a wide variety of support and training available, including support for specific sectors such as tourism, environmental and the creative industries, and for small and medium enterprises, women in business, and the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) business community.

The London Development Agency (LDA) also carries out research into business activities to ensure that we have up-to-date information on new developments that affect London organisations.

The London Annual Business Survey provides a snapshot of the factors that currently affect businesses’ competitiveness and productivity.

Business Link in London  - The LDA manages the Business Link service for London, which offers information, services and support to all kinds of London businesses.

Publicly funded business support, including that funded by the LDA, will be changing in the light of the Government's Business Support Simplification Programme (BSSP).

The LDA wants to see London's SMEs benefit from the opportunities generated by the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and has established Compete For, an online service matching buyers and potential suppliers in the 2012 Games supply chain.
