London has a reputation as a leading international centre of creativity accounts for £21 billion or 16% of London Gross Value Added (GVA) annually.
It is the second largest industry after the business services sector and ranges from music, video games to design and fashion. This sector also offers London's second biggest source of job growth, contributing roughly one in every five new jobs.
The London Development Agency's (LDA) Creative Industries team works to support and promote key growth sectors such as Film, Fashion, Design, Digital Media and Music, and works in partnership with high profile international events such as the London Film Festival, London Fashion Week, and London Design Festival.
Through our investment in these partners, we help to promote London as a global centre for the creative industries by offering practical support to business enterprises.
Since its launch in 2004, the LDA's creative industries programmes have helped thousands of London's businesses, professionals, freelancers, entrepreneurs and new entrants to achieve creative and commercial success.
Examples of recent projects include: Own It, the intellectual property advice service for creative enterprises and 01Zero-One, the audio-visual training and event centre in the heart of Soho.
