The Access to Finance programme is designed to assist small businesses across the capital to raise business finance to start up or grow.
This heavily subsidised programme provides an introductory workshop to help raise awareness of different types of business finance, looking beyond your own bank. For businesses that successfully apply to the programme, they can expect 1:1 support from a business advisor to help the business produce a business or investment plan. Access to Finance places significant emphasis upon finance raised as a result of this support.
Introductory workshop - A business advisor will run an introductory workshop to raise your awareness of the range of different business finance products that are available and the implications of different types of funding.
Application diagnostic form - A business advisor will meet with you to complete a full review of your business which will result in an action plan. The application will then be assessed to check your suitability for the programme and to ensure your business fits the criteria.
Business plan - A business expert will help you prepare your business plan, outlining the steps you need to take to become 'finance ready'. You will receive advice and guidance on how to present a professional case to funders.
The London Development Agency (LDA) makes a substantial contribution towards the total cost of the consultancy support, which means that you only pay £200 towards the cost. This support will typically cover about three days depending on the business requirements.
