The Snapshot is an annual publication, with a six-month update, which gives an overview of the progress made in delivering the objectives of the Economic Development Strategy (EDS), "Sustaining Success".
As well as formally outlining London's progress against each EDS objective, the Snapshot aims to provide a means to check the priorities for London's economic development and to act as a catalyst for economic development activities across London where appropriate.
The latest Snapshot report (8) published in January 2009 highlights, amongst other things, that although London's employment rate has increased recently - slightly closing the gap with the UK employment rate - with London's economy likely to grow well below trend over the next few years, London's employment rate will fall, reversing its recent improvement.
