The Board
The LDA's Board members are appointed by the Mayor and bring to the Agency a wealth of experience from private and public sectors.
The Board are regulated by the LDA's Standing Orders. Amongst other things, the Standing Orders set out:

Board members are entitled to remuneration as follows:
- Chair of the Board - £55,000
- Vice Chair of the Board - £25,500 (There is currently no Vice Chair)
- Chair of Committee - £20,000
- Chair of Advisory Group - £17,000 (There are currently no Advisory Groups)
- Board Member - £14,000
- Board Observer - £14,000
Some of the Board Members choose to waive this entitlement.

Board Members
The Board must consist of between 8 and 15 Members, with at least half of the Members having business experience and 4 Members being an elected Member of either the London Assembly, a London Borough Council or the City of London.

Board Observers
The Board may invite appropriate people to act as Board Observers. These Board Observers can attend all LDA Board meetings and like Board Members must abide by the LDA’s Standing Orders. However, they do not have voting rights. Board Observers can be either ‘named’ or ‘nominated’ – named Observers are appointed to provide guidance on specific areas and nominated Observers represent the views of a particular key stakeholder.
There are currently 3 named Observers and 1 nominated Observer as follows:
