Economic Development Strategy (EDS)

The Economic Development Strategy sets out this vision with respect to the London economy, and how it can be realised.

The Mayor’s ambitions are for London to be the World Capital of Business, and to have the most competitive business environment in the world; to be one of the world’s leading low carbon capitals, for all Londoners to share in London's economic success and for London to maximise the benefits of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.

The Economic Development Strategy is a plan for action for all those involved in London's economy and concerned with its success.

It provides the blue-print for all of the Agency's work and is intended to provide a focus for all of our delivery partners.
