London and European Structural Funds
European Structural Funds are the main instrument for supporting social and economic cohesion across the European Union (EU). They account for over one third of the EU budget and are used to tackle regional disparities and support regional development.

For 2007–2013 London was awarded over £1 billion from two Structural Funds:
European Programmes Management Unit (EPMU)
Working on behalf of the Mayor of London, the European Programmes Management Unit (EPMU) at the London Development Agency (LDA) is responsible for the administration of the 2007–2013 Structural Funds Programmes.
