Organisation structure

The work of the London Development Agency (LDA) is given strategic leadership by our Board. Working into the Board is a Senior Management Team led by the Chief Executive and comprised of five Group Directors in charge of our Directorates – the divisions of the organisation which implement and support our strategies for London’s development.

Since the election of the new Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, in May 2008, the LDA has reviewed its structure to improve performance, deliver value for money and shape the organisation for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

This new structure aims to improve transparency and clarity for our stakeholders. The following structure came into effect from 4 January 2010.

The Board

The LDA Board is a business-led board, which is appointed by the Mayor. The individuals are members of important London-focused organisations who can offer key insights into how we can help London become even greater. A number of committees advise the Board on key strategic issues.

Chief Executive Office

The Chief Executive Office provides strategic direction for the work of our component Directorates to ensure we deliver the best outcomes for London and Londoners.

Group Directorates

Our Group Directorates work closely with delivery partners, key stakeholders and each other to create, implement, support and monitor our key development plans for London.
